Do I need an account or API key?
No, not to search. The library tools need no key. Generating your own screenshots needs an API key from create_api_key, then you sign in and buy credits through its claim link.
What is the difference between the MCP server, the skill and the CLI?
The MCP server gives your agent the tools. The skill is a SKILL.md that teaches the agent the inspiration → restyle workflow. The CLI (npx magic-screenshots) runs the same actions from a terminal or script.
Can agents use MagicScreenshots in the browser?
Yes. The MagicScreenshots site registers WebMCP tools, so an agent built into a browser can search the library from the page itself.
